Barb Fittings
Natural Kynar (NK) Barb Fittings. Generally, chemically resistant to most acids, salts, weak bases, halogens, halogenated solvents, alcohols, nuclear and UV radiation, oxidants, ozone and deionized water.

KYNAR® is a proprietary brand name and a registered tradmark of AUTOFINA Chemicals, Inc. These resins are often referred to by the more general term, Polyvinylidene Fluoride or PVDF.

KYNAR®: Temp. Range - 60°C to 105°C / Pressure 260 psi @ 21°C - Autoclave temp. to 140°C. Meets USP Class VI Requirements (US Pharmacopoeia). more..

Natural High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Barb Fittings.

Can be used for the manufacture of food contact articles, HDPE also has various applications for use medical products and devices. It has excellent resistance to chemicals, excellent toughness, and has an aesthetically pleasing glossy white finish. HDPE is a softer material than Nylon and much softer than Kynar. It is also less expensive than either of these two resins.

High Temperature Range 67°C

Black Nylon (BN) Barb Fittings.

Black Nylon fittings are made from lubricated PA 6/6. They are widely used for automotive and marine applications as well as general fluid handling. They combine strength, moderate stiffness, high service temperature, and toughness. The formulations are particularly resistant to repeated impact, have low coefficients of friction and have an excellent resistance to abrasion. They resist fuels, lubricants and many chemicals, but are attacked by phenols, strong acids and oxidizing agents. Acceptable sterilization methods include Ethylene Oxide or Autoclave.

Temp. Range  Low –45°C   High 135°C Pressure 150psi @21°C

Stainless Steel Barb Fittings

316L Stainless Steel is a molybdenum-bearing austentic stainless steel which offers a high stress-to-rupture and tensile strength in elevated temperature environments. It is more resistant to corrosion than type Type 304 and It is also more resistant to pitting. Molybdenum-containing stainless steels are used in the manufacture of certain food and pharmaceutical products where minimizing metallic contamination is desirable. Fittings produced with the 316L alloy perform well in harsh physical environments, maintaining their strength and impact resistance under a wide range of temperatures; however, molybdenum-bearing stainless steel is less resistant than other types of stainless steel to highly oxidizing acids, such a nitric acid. The material has wide application in the dairy industry and is accepted by the Dairy and Food Industries Supply Association-Sanitary Standards Committee. It is approved for preparation and storage of foods by the National sanitation Foundation and is used extensively in the brewery, beverage, and bioprocessing industries.

Swivel Disconnects are Hose Couplers based on the Compressed Gas Association Standard Diameter-Index Safety System (DISS). They allow quick connecting/disconnecting of tubing and equipment utilising the inherent strength and safety of barb fittings.

Nickel-Plated Brass Barb fittings

Used typically to transfer moderately agressive fluids. Good body strength allowing working pressures up to 20bar. Operating temperatures -20C to 150C (depending on tube characteristics). Economical.
